Prices:
Prices are indicated in Swiss francs (CHF).
The prices payable for the goods you order are those listed on this website at the date of the order, including VAT. Prices for export sales outside Switzerland are VAT excluded. The buyer is responsible for paying any applicable taxes or duties in the destination country. Shipping fees depend on the selected product.
Skualos Bike reserves the right to modify its prices and delivery costs at any time and to cancel any contract that contains errors in wording, printing, or calculation.
Delivery:
All orders confirmed by Skualos Bike will be delivered to the address specified in the order.
Skualos Bike strives to ensure delivery within 24/48 business hours following order receipt. Packages are sent by Priority Mail (A), ensuring a delivery time of 1 to 2 days.
Verification of Goods:
It is your responsibility to check the quantity and condition of the goods upon delivery.
If you notice that items are missing or damaged, you must report it and file a claim with Skualos Bike within 7 days of delivery. Skualos Bike will replace missing or damaged goods with identical items.
Manufacturer’s Warranty – Procedure, Safety and Product Recal:
Any product returned under warranty and recognized as defective by Skualos Bike will be replaced within 8 days with an identical or superior model. Returned products must be sent to our address, accompanied by a dated proof of purchase and a letter explaining the return reasons. If the product is no longer available, an equivalent model will be offered.
The Skualos bike warranty is linked to the original owner and is non-transferable. The warranty applies only to the first buyer and is not valid for competition use.
FRAMES: (frame, fork structure, swingarm) Skualos frames are warranted by Directbikeimport.com/En Coulaye 4/1029 Villars-Ste-Croix, Switzerland, against manufacturing defects due to materials and/or workmanship for the original owner for two (2) years after purchase. This warranty does not cover damage resulting from commercial use (rental).
To be considered for warranty, the bike must be taken to an authorized Skualos dealer, fully assembled, and accompanied by the original dated sales receipt. (Ensure you keep your receipt in a safe place.)
This warranty is void if the bike has been subject to abuse, neglect, improper repair, poor maintenance, modification, accident, or other abnormal, excessive, or inappropriate use.
Any warranty claim relating to the manufacturer's products must be subject to prior written approval by the manufacturer before any intervention, repair or replacement is carried out.
No technical intervention, disassembly, modification or attempt to restore the product performed by the reseller or any third party without the manufacturer's prior written consent shall give rise to any warranty coverage, reimbursement or compensation.
The manufacturer reserves the exclusive right to determine the procedure for handling any defect, including but not limited to inspection, repair, replacement, return or any other appropriate measure.
Unless expressly authorized in writing, all repair or remediation operations must be carried out exclusively by the manufacturer or by an authorized service center.
Any unilateral invoice issued by the reseller in connection with an intervention not previously approved by the manufacturer shall be rejected as of right.
In the event of a defect likely to affect the safety of the user or third parties, the reseller undertakes to immediately withdraw the product from use and to notify the manufacturer without delay. No intervention shall be carried out without formal written instructions from the manufacturer.
Failure to comply with this procedure shall result in the forfeiture of all contractual warranty rights.
The reseller undertakes to notify the manufacturer promptly and in writing of any defect of which it becomes aware, including recurring defects or anomalies likely to affect a product line or series. Any intentional concealment of a known defect by the reseller shall engage the reseller's own liability and shall forfeit any right of recourse under this warranty, in accordance with the principles of good faith governing contractual relations (Art. 2 SCC). The manufacturer undertakes reciprocally to inform the reseller of any series defect of which it becomes aware, in accordance with Art. 199 CO.
The manufacturer further reserves the right to implement at any time a product recall or safety procedure. The reseller undertakes to fully cooperate with such procedure, in particular by immediately ceasing distribution of the affected products, notifying customers accordingly, and strictly applying all instructions issued by the manufacturer.
Warranty coverage is strictly limited to the conditions defined by the manufacturer and expressly excludes any indirect costs or damages, including unauthorized labor costs, loss of revenue, loss of business opportunity, or any other consequential damages.
The manufacturer further reserves the right to implement at any time a product recall or safety procedure. The reseller undertakes to fully cooperate in such procedure, in particular by immediately ceasing distribution of the affected products, informing customers, and strictly applying the instructions issued by the manufacturer.
Warranty coverage is strictly limited to the conditions defined by the manufacturer and excludes, in particular, any indirect costs or damages, including unauthorized labor, loss of business, or any consequential damages.
Damage due to normal wear and tear, including fatigue failure, is not covered. Fatigue damage results from frame wear after normal use. It is a type of natural wear, and it is the owner's responsibility to inspect their bike. Damage from improper assembly or maintenance or the installation of incompatible parts and accessories is not covered. All labor costs for warranty service, including component transfers and/or any new component installation, are the owner's responsibility.
Due to product evolution and obsolescence, some components may no longer be available for older models. In such cases, the bike owner is responsible for sourcing and paying for the required components.
Return shipping costs will be covered in the following cases:

The warranty does not cover normal wear and tear or damage caused by accidents, negligence, misuse, or exposure to extreme temperatures.

Satisfaction Guarantee:
The "Satisfaction or Refund" guarantee applies only to product purchases within 3 days after receipt. Any claims made after this period will not be accepted.
This guarantee only applies to products without external or internal damage.
Returned items that are damaged or dirty will not be refunded.
Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
Force Majeure:
Skualos Bike will do its best to fulfill its obligations but cannot be held responsible for delays or failure to deliver due to circumstances beyond its control, such as strikes, wars, natural disasters, or other events preventing production, transport, or delivery of products.
In case of delay, Skualos Bike will fulfill its obligations as soon as possible and reserves the right to distribute remaining stock fairly among customers.
Applicable Law and Jurisdiction:
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale are governed by Swiss law.
The legal jurisdiction is accepted and recognized by both parties as Lausanne.
